Marks: embroidered: throughout center: "Be ye strong / therefore and / let not your hands / be weak for your works / shall be rewarded." handwritten: on note attached to bookmark: "Except this from Mary J. Curtis, to her / Benefacetrer (sic) M. Hastings."

A note found with the bookmark has a poem entitled "Christian Friendship," and indicates that it was a gift from Mary J. Curtis to M. Hastings.
