Description: Hunting sword with straight, double-edged steel blade with about eight inches of surface below hilt on obverse and reverse decorated with hunting motifs etched on ground of blue enamel and gilding; blade is diamond-shaped in cross section; short cross quillons made of silver, each terminating in a dog's head finial; eight-sided ebony grip with checkered panels carved on four sides; leather scabbard with two chased and engraved silver mounts, a band at throat with oval frog stud with engraved fleur-de-lis, and tip with flattened knob finial.
