Brick x Brick is a Brooklyn-based performance art project that formed to galvanize American women voters before the 2016 presidential election. Volunteers wearing the brick-patterned jumpsuits stand silently as a human wall—a reference to Donald Trump’s intention to build a US–Mexico border wall. Each colored patch bears a Trump quote in which he describes women negatively.

The project has organized actions around the country, including the Women’s March on Washington, where it was an official partner. This particular suit was also used in St. Louis, Missouri, outside the venue of the second presidential debate, and in front of the Rhode Island State House a few days before the election.
