Description: Gold struck medal with obverse depicting clothed male bust facing left; with legend: "JOSEPHUS HAYDN." Reverse contains engraved inscription at center: "Melle/EMMA THURSBY/30 Mars, 6 Avril, 1879"; surrounding legend: "CONCERTS POPULAIRES DE MUSIQUE CLASSIQUE/PAR J. PASDELOUP." Medal is inset into square red leather fitted case with cream silk satin and light blue silk velvet interior.
