Description: "Christmas Blocks, Picture Stories and Rhymes" picture blocks with nine paper covered wood blocks in a paper covered wood and cardboard box; box cover has an image of an anthropomorphized frog walking arm in arm with a rat with insects accompaning them and birds on a fence in the background; box cover lithographed with the inscriptions, "CHRISTMAS BLOCKS/ PICTURES, STORIES & RHYMES/ TWO LITTLE BIRDIES/ THE FROG WHO WOULD A WOOING GO/ A SUMMER VACATION/ THE ELFLAND RAILROAD/ McLOUGHLIN BROS New York/ COPYRIGHTED 1890"; each block with the alphabet letters on each end; sides chromolithographed with images of an "ELFLAND RAILROAD" train, a rhyme about insects with a corresponding image, birds, and images of "A Frog a-Wooing".
