Mabel Van Rensselaer Johnson

Mabel Van Rensselaer was the daughter of Alexander Van Rensselaer and his second wife, Louisa (Barnewell) Van Rensselaer. She was the half-sister of Louisa Van Rensselaer (Mrs. Edmund L. Baylies). Miss Van Rensselaer married Rev. James Le Baron Johnson, assistant rector of Grace Church and chaplain of the New York Fire Department. The couple separated soon after the marriage, and had no children. Mrs. Johnson lived with her mother and younger sister on Park Avenue.
