Marie Stirling Tailer

She was the daughter of Rear Admiral Yates Stirling, Jr. and Ellen (Haley) Stirling. Her youth ws She spent her youth in Baltimore, MD and in 1894 she was married to J. Lee Tailer of New York, a noted horseman, he died in 1918. One of the recognized beauties of society in the 1890's and the period before WWI, she was the mother of Mrs. Marie (Tailer) Gaither and Robert W. Tailer.
