Emily Stevens Ladenburg

Emily Stevens was the daughter of Alexander H. Stevens, a New York banker. In 1887 she married Adolf Ladenburg of the banking house of Ladenburg, Trolman, & Company. The couple had one child, Eugenie Marie (Mrs. Preston Davie). Mrs. Ladenburg was socially prominent in both NY and Newport. Her husband disappeared in 1896 while returning from the Bahamas by ship.
