Catherine McLane LeeAmerican, 1860 – 1896
Catherine Milligan McLane of Baltimore was the daughter of James Latimer McLane, a Lawyer and banker, and Fanny (King) McLane. Catherine was the minister to England, secretary of the Treasury, and Secretary of State under Andrew Jackson. In 1890, she married William H. L. Lee (d. 1918), prominent lawyer and clubman of New York. The couple had two daughter: Mrs. R. Curzon Hoffman, Jr. (Ethel McLane Lee 1893-1948) and Mrs. Edwin Warfield, Jr. (Catherine Lee)
