Margaret MacKay Beekman

Margaret Auchmuty MacKay was born in New York to Barnard MacKay and Mary Christina (Auchmuty) MacKay. In 1916 she was married to the Very Reverend Frederick Warren Beekman, dean of the Cathedral of the Nativity in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He was later appointed dean of the American Episcopal Pro-Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Paris. In 1937 Mrs. Beekman was awarded the Legion of Honor of France. She left Paris in 1940 and returned to New York City where she remained for the rest of her life.
