Elizabeth Glover Van SwinderenAmerican, 1878 – 1950

Miss Glover was the daughter of Charles Carroll Glover and Annie (Dunningham) Glover, who were married in 1878. Her maternal grandfather was Rear Admiral Charles Henry Poor. Elizabeth Glover was married to Rene de Marees van Swinderen, whom she met when he was the minister to the United States from the Netherlands. Her husband was the foreign minister of Holland, and later on the minister of London for 29 years. Elizabeth died at her house, Westover in Washington D.C. She was survived by her daughter, Lady Hoyer Millar, wife of Sir Frederick R. Hoyer Millar.
