Sallie Hargous Elliot

Sallie J. Hargous was the daughter of L.S. Hargous of Pittsburgh. She married Lieutenant Duncan Elliot, a U.S. cavalry officer. The couple had 3 sons: Duncan, Robert H., and Giraud Elliot. After her divorce from Lieutenant Eliot, she married Captain Woodbury Kane on March 28, 1905. Kane served with Colonel Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Riders in the Spanish-American war. Their marriage was brief since Captain Kane succumbed to a heart attack on December 5, 1905. On May 28, 1912, Sallie married Captain Douglas H. Gill of the British Army in London.
