Beatrice Bend Fletcher

Beatrice was the daughter of George Hofman Bend and Elizabeth (Townsend) Bend of NY. Her father was the president of NYSE (Stock exchange) at the time. Beatrice was the sister of Amy Bend. In 1917, Beatrice married Henry Pather Fletcher in Westbury, LI, who at this time was the Ambassador to Mexico. During their marriage he held ambassadorial posts in Rome and Brussels. In 1934, he became Chairman of the Republican National Committee. She had no children.
