Mary Victoria Curzon, Baroness Curzon of KedlestonAmerican, 1870 – 1906

Mary was the daughter of Levi Zeigler Leiter and Mary Theresa (Carver) Leiter of Chicago and Washington, DC. She married the Honorable George Nathaniel Curzon, M.P. (1859-1925). In 1898, he was raised to the peerage as Baron Curzon of Kedleston. He was appointed Viceroy of India in 1899, at which time Lady Curzon recieved the Imperial Order of the Crown of India. She resided in India until 1904 when she returned to England and died shortly after. She had three daughters: Mary Irene, (b. 1896), Cynthia Blanche (b. 1898) and Alexandra Naldera (b. 1904).
