Cornelia Augusta Beekman1849 – 1917
Cornelia Augustus Beekman (1849-1917), daughter of James William Beekman Sr., and Abian Steele (Milledoler) Beekman. She and her two brothers never married, residing together in their homes in Manhattan and Long Island. She served as mistress of the household, and acted as hostess to the numerous Beekman social events.
