Hannah Townsend Montant

Hannah Maria Towsend was the daughter of Edward Mitchell Towsend (1829-1904) of New York. She married Auguste Philippe Montant (ca. 1846-1909), a commission merchant, noted yachtsman, and founder of the Raquet and Tennis Club. The couple had two children Marie Adele Montant and Louis Townsend Montant. Mrs. Montant lived with her sister Adele (Townsend) Kingsburg in New Haven, Connecticut ; after the death of her husband.
