Dieudonne Costes (1892-1973) and Maurice Bellonte (1896-1984) flew the first eastbound non-stop transatlantic flight from Paris to New York on September 1-2, 1930. Their flight covered 4,100 miles and took 37 hours,18 minutes. Among those greeting them when they landed was Charles A. Lindbergh, who had made his historic flight three years before.
