DescriptionSilver struck medal with obverse showing female bust of Liberty, facing right, in helmet adorned with sprays of oak and pine and a lily flower; legend: "TO COMMEMORATE THE VISIT TO NEW YORK OF THE FRENCH AND BRITISH WAR COMMISSIONS 1917." Reverse depicts British knight and Joan of Arc welcomed by Columbia.
