The subject of this portrait was the daughter of William de Groot and Elizabeth King (Hawley) de Groot. She married Giulio Caravadossi, Conte d'Aspremonte, at the Hofburg Chapel, Vienna, on June 25, 1898. This portrait was a gift to the Society from the subject's sister.
