DescriptionCast silver table crumber in the "Imperial Queen" pattern with slightly upturned double-swell fiddle handle decorated foliate scroll border and shell ornament at the tip and joint; handle engraved with cipher "MDBM" in script characters; blade has long lower straight edge and scalloped upper edge with scrolled rim; repoussé chased shell and scroll decoration along blade face; maker's hallmarks stamped along underside of handle stem.
Pattern issued in 1895.
Markingsengraved: on the handle: cipher "MDBM" in script characters stamped: on the underside of the handle: "W" in oval surround in arms of two-headed griffen, gothic "W" in circular surround, and "STERLING PAT 1893" incuse
