A view looking south along the mountain ridge bordering the west shore of the Hudson River near Haverstraw in Rockland County. Croton Point and Westchester County are at the left, and in the right distance are Rockland Lake and Hook Mountain. This picture is dated from a similar study by John Henry Hill (q.v.), the artist's son, dated 1866.
