DescriptionPresentation sword with straight, double-edged steel blade with central fuller running almost entire length and etched designs on obverse and reverse; inscribed to recipient on one side of blade; gilded brass cross quillons with flared ends, reeded ivory grip, and gilded brass pommel in the form of a conventionalized helmet; leather scabbard with gilded brass throat with elongated frog stud and tip with rudimentary drag; leather holster (frog) with sleeve for attachment to waist belt.
Markingsetched: on obverse of blade: "Presented to Sergeant Henry C. Lima by his friends in the [E.I.A.S.?] June 17, 1889" etched: on reverse of blade near hilt: "RIDABOCK / & CO / NEW YORK"
