DescriptionWrought silver tankard; circular body with straight sides tapered from applied, molded, baseband to an applied, molded, flared lip; stepped, flat cover with an incised and serrated flange at the front; corkscrew thumbpiece with a simply molded hinge-plate oval drop and rat-tail below; scroll handle with a cast, tear-drop disk terminal; maker's marks stamped below rim, on both sides of the handle.MarkingsMaker's mark: AB
Description: Maker's mark "AB" in oval on left only, stamped twice in relief on upper body under lip band to right and left of junction with handle and body. Stamp on right worn and oval less defined. Indentation or mark stamped under cocoon on thumb-piece.
