paper labels: affixed to back:"This platter and the coat of arms of Massachusetts were purchased by Mrs. Henry F. Herbermann of Mt. Vernon, April, 1933. They were given to her by an English woman and brought by Mrs. Herbermann to this country in 1927. The gift consisted of two Delaware coat of arms and one Massachusetts, No.190. A second label has printed on it "has sold for $900."
