DescriptionCopperplate-printed cotton souvenir kerchief from the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philedelphia, PA; central oval medallion is an image of the Main Building overlapped by two smaller oval medallions with images of the Art Gallery and the Horticultural Building; Greek key border with portraits of George Washington and Ulysses Grant garlanded in the upper corners, garlanded seals commemorating the birth of the nation and congresses act to hold the exhibition; printed in blackand orange on a white ground.
