Sarah Ellen Derby Rogers (1805-1877) was born into a merchant family from Salem. She married John Rogers, a Boston merchant, and was the mother of John Rogers Jr., the genre sculptor.
DescriptionTortoise shell card case with side-hinged lid, clasp closure on the side, metal inlay edging and X design on both sides, lined with powder pink velvet.
