DescriptionDress hat with white cotton (?) crown with flat, circular top, dark blue wool band, and black patent leather visor; embroidered front insignia consisting of a shield over crossed anchors with an eagle with outstretched wings above; chin strap secured at either side by a gilded metal button embossed with an eagle perched on an anchor.
Markingsmaker's label: inside top of crown: "ALL-BILT / UNIFORMS / INC. / 147 FULTON ST. / NEW YORK CITY" handwritten in ink: on scrap of paper in plastis sleeve inside top of crown: "ABEL I. SMITH, JR"
