Miss Glover was the daughter of Charles Carroll Glover and Annie (Cunningham) Glover, who were married in 1878. Nothing is at present known of the life of Elizabeth Ashton, but she and Miss Glover were apparenty very good friends and therefore had their portraits painted in a single miniature.
