These summer dress trousers were worn by Private Edmond C. Bonaventure while he served in the 7th Regiment of New York State's National Guard. He served from 1918-1931. The Society owns other pieces of his uniforms.
DescriptionWhite cotton canvas New York National Guard summer dress trousers, with 5 button fly and 6 buttons around the waistband; all buttons are made of bone; 2 straps at the rear below the waistband which buckle at the center on rectangular metal buckle with double-tongued chape; horizontal slit pockets at each rear hip (no front pockets); waistband and pockets lined with white cotton.
