Sightings of this bird have become extremely rare during the past half century.
DescriptionThe branch of the Strawberry Tree with red pods in this watercolor was engraved as the background for Havell Plate 395, although the bird was not engraved. The birds were added from the upper section of watercolor 1863.17.393.
