Note that the html in all eMuseum pages must meet xsl standards. This means that all attributes must be in quotation marks and all tags must either have closing tags or end with a /.

Here are some tips for basic updates to the eMuseum interface:

Fonts are controlled by a style sheet: eMuseum\txtStyle.css

Test

To change the color of the left bar, modify images\bg.gif and images/bg2.gif. The body tag of each page includes 'background="../images/bg.gif"', which sets this image as the page background. (bg2.gif is used as the background for the single-record object and people pages; bg.gif is used as the background for all other pages.)

The Gallery Systems logo in the upper left corner is images\logo.gif. Modify this image to replace 'Gallery Systems' with your institution name.

Page layouts are generally controlled by the files in eMuseum\html. Sections of the page that contain information from the database are controlled by the files in eMuseum\xsl. Most pages that display data are formed by a combination of an html file and an xsl file of the same name.
